The ILCA’s mission is to build the power of labor journalism by providing a place for labor’s communication professionals to exchange ideas, share their stories, learn the latest in both technology and storytelling and recognize the talent within our community.

Labor Media Center. A unique opportunity to join teams of other labor journalists to tell the stories of workers and their unions in a way that mainstream media are increasingly incapable and unwilling to do.

Who Can Join?

The International Labor Communications Association, founded in 1955, is the professional organization of labor communicators in North America. Most of our members are union media, whether they be paid staff or volunteers. We are also building alliances with independent labor media, alternative media, the media reform movement, and free-lance and individual labor communicators.
