Suzanne Batchelor, Independent journalist and writer, mostly on health, science and women's issues. I've also covered elections, laws and lawsuits. My latest article, on women's heart attacks, is set to appear in February's Ms. magazine. I've written professionally for eight years on topics such as North Dakota farmers organizing to be heard in the debate on genetically modified wheat; Native American women writing their own health book; how men planning carefully for retirement often overlook key health signals; African-American women's greater risk from breast cancer; and how California law students and their teacher worked to free a man wrongfully imprisoned for twenty years. My work has been published online at Women's eNews (online news service), Medscape Health, CBS Healthwatch, in print at (Ms. magazine Feb. 2006), National Catholic Reporter, and broadcast on radio for Texas Medical Association and the national science series, "Earth and Sky." A few years back, I was lucky enough to work with SEIU stalwarts Kirk Adams and Cecile Richards. Please contact me by emailing sbatchelor@gmail.com
Greg Moses has 30 years experience as an activist writer, dating back to his college editor days when he defended Willie Nelson's picnic against the swipes of the town newspaper. During the 1990s he earned a PhD, wrote a book about Martin Luther King, Jr.'s philosophy of nonviolence, taught college classes, and became more active in civil rights. Lately he has been editing independent websites at the Texas Civil Rights Review and Peacefile, while contributing regular articles to Counterpunch. He has also been published at Alternet, with reprints appearing at prestigious civil rights websites.
